Take a look at the cast of the A-Team! Liam Neeson as John “Hannibal” Smith, Bradley Cooper as Lt. Templeton “Faceman” Peck, Sharlto Copley as Capt. “Howling Mad” Murdock, and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson as Sgt. “B.A.” Baracus. Jessica Biel has reportedly signed on for a bit part as one of Faceman’s former flames. Younger people may not have heard of the A-Team but this was a top notch TV sensation produced by NBC in the 80's. BA Baracus? Mr. T? remember?

The crew is now in Vancouver and currently on their first week of filming. The Movie A-Team is expected to hit the big screen by next year. I cant wait to see the Movie trailer or even just a movie preview in pictures!

Here is the Real VIDEO of Kanye West, Taylor Swift 2009 VMA's

NEW YORK – President Barack Obama's candid thoughts about Kanye West are provoking a debate over standards of journalism in the Twitter age.

ABC News says it was wrong for its employees to tweet that Obama had called West a "jackass" for the rapper's treatment of country singer Taylor Swift. The network said some of its employees had overheard a conversation between the president and CNBC's John Harwood and didn't realize it was considered off the record.

The network apologized to the White House and CNBC.

Harwood had sat down with the president to tape an interview following his appearance on Wall Street on Monday. Although they are competitors, CNBC and ABC share a fiber optic line to save money, and this enabled some ABC employees to listen in on the interview as it was being taped for later use.

Their attention was drawn to chatter about West, who was widely criticized for interrupting Swift as she accepted an award at Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards to say that Beyonce deserved it.

During what sounds like informal banter before the interview begins, Obama is asked whether his daughters were annoyed by West's hijacking of Swift's acceptance statement, according to an audio copy that was posted on TMZ.com.

"I thought that was really inappropriate," Obama says. "What are you butting in (for)? ... The young lady seems like a perfectly nice person. She's getting her award. What's he doing up there?"

A questioner chimes in, "Why would he do it?"

"He's a jackass," Obama replies, which is met with laughter from several people.

The president seems to quickly realize he may have gone too far, and jovially appeals to those assembled that the remark be kept private. "Come on guys," he says. "Cut the president some slack. I've got a lot of other stuff on my plate."

E-mails shot around among ABC employees about Obama's comments, said Jeffrey Schneider, ABC News spokesman. Before anything was reported on ABC's air or Web site, at least three network employees took to Twitter to spread the news.

One was Terry Moran, a former White House correspondent. He logged on to Twitter and typed: "Pres. Obama just called Kanye West a 'jackass' for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT'S presidential."

When ABC News authorities found out about it, they had the tweets deleted after about an hour, Schneider said. Moran declined a request to comment.

But the news was out.

Harwood said there was no explicit agreement with the president that those comments were off the record. But he said it is broadcast tradition that such pre-interview chatter is considered off the record until the formal interview begins. Harwood is holding to that: He would not discuss what the president said before their interview and has no plans to do so on CNBC.

He said he was aware that it was likely someone outside of CNBC was listening to his conversation with the president.

"It's one of those things that's unfortunate," he said. "But I think it's an honest mistake."

There was no immediate response to requests for comment from White House spokesmen.

Twitter, a technology that's a natural tool for reporters who love to tell people what they know whenever they know it, has raced ahead in usage before many news organizations have developed policies to govern its use, said Richard Wald, a former ABC News executive and professor at Columbia University.

"You need to reinforce the sense that you have to verify before you publish," Wald said. "The policies may be very comprehensive, but they may not be adequate to the technology that news organizations have."

The incident is reminiscent of past "open-mic" incidents involving politicians. President Ronald Reagan, while waiting to make a speech in 1984, joked that he had outlawed the Soviet Union and that "the bombing begins in five minutes." During the 2000 presidential campaign, George W. Bush turned to running mate Dick Cheney to point out a reporter from The New York Times and used an obscenity to describe him.

"If you're sitting there with a microphone on, you don't have a reasonable expectation of privacy," said Kelly McBride, an expert in journalism ethics for the Poynter Institute. "If you're a governor or president, you know that."

She also questioned whether news organizations should be agreeing to go off the record with the president.

Judging by the things written by other Twitter users since West's action, Obama wasn't in the minority, she said.

"The president calling Kanye West a 'jackass' is perfect information for a tweet," she said. "In fact, that's the ideal format. You can do it in 140 characters. There's not much else to say."

Since Jay Leno announced the first-ever musical guest on his new The Jay Leno Show would be Jay-Z with Rihanna and Kanye West a few weeks ago, anticipation has been building for what was to be the “Umbrella” star’s return to the spotlight — her first major televised appearance since she was assaulted by then-boyfriend Chris Brown in February.

But all eyes were on Leno tonight for an unexpected reason: Kanye West. After igniting a firestorm of controversy by invading the MTV Video Music Awards stage last night to protest Beyoncé’s loss of Best Female Video to Taylor Swift, West spent most of the day uncharacteristically under the radar, posting an apology on his blog in which he said he felt as awkward as Ben Stiller in Meet the Parents. On Leno, West was greeted by cheers. He apologized, called his actions on the VMAs “rude,” and vowed to take time off to address personal problems that may have led to his unexpected rant.

Leno thanked West for appearing on his show despite the drama, and added that West wanted to take the opportunity to speak to the public. Saying his day had been “extremely difficult,” West acknowledged he had spent the afternoon “dealing with the fact that I hurt someone or took anything away from a talented artist.” Reflecting on the few seconds that got him booted from MTV’s ceremony at Radio City Musical Hall, West said he knew his stunt had gone awry “As soon as I gave the mic back to her and she didn’t keep going.”

Adding that he has spent his life trying to help people, West said, “My entire life, I’ve only wanted to give and do something that I felt was right. And I immediately knew in the situation that it was wrong, and it wasn’t a spectacle … it’s actually someone’s emotions, you know, that I stepped on.”

West concluded that his outburst was “rude, period” and said he wishes to apologize to Swift in person. When Leno asked West what his deceased mother, Donda, what would have said about this situation, West looked wounded and took a moment to respond, wiping his forehead as Leno pressed on, asking if she’d give him a lecture.

“I deal with hurt. And, you know, so many celebrities, they never take the time off. I’ve never taken the time off to really — you know, just music after music and tour after tour,” he said, perhaps referring to his next project — his upcoming jaunt with Lady Gaga, which announced its first four dates on Friday, before the VMAs.

“But I need to, after this, take some time off and just analyze how I’m going to make it through the rest of this life, how I’m going to improve. Because I am a celebrity, and that’s something I have to deal with,” he said.

Noting he was simply “ashamed that my hurt caused someone else’s hurt” West tried to reach out to Swift, offering to do anything he could to help the young star in the future. “I want to live this thing,” he concluded.

West then put on his shades and joined Jay-Z and Rihanna for a performance of Jay’s The Blueprint 3 single “Run This Town,” as the three had performed it at Jigga’s 9/11 benefit last Friday in New York. Unlike the boos he got last night, West received cheers when he finished his verse, and the crowd gave the trio a warm reception as they ended the track.

Miley Cyrus Exposed!

13 September 2009 |

According to Miley Cyrus wildly-successful acting/singing occupation is existence blamed for a perturbation in her parents’ marriages.

Miley’s care Tish and junior siblings are allegedly bushed of the vocaliser “stealing” tending from kinsfolk man Billy Ray, who spends such of his instance motion with the 16-year-old superstar and recording episodes of her impact filmmaker program Hannah Montana.

“Tish is bushed of Billy Ray not existence at home,” a tattling advisor near to the kinsfolk reveals in the Sept. 14 supply of The National Examiner. “All summer, patch the kids were discover of school, Billy Ray wasn’t around. It was questionable to be kinsfolk time, but Billy Ray was likewise laboring with Miley,” the insider says. “The kids uncomprehensible him, too. They complain, ‘It’s Miley, Miley, Miley, every the time. What most us?’ They see same they don’t modify subsist in their ascendant and sister’s world.”

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner may be appearing at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, but that doesn't mean show host Russell Brand knows a thing about Twilight.

What?

When I caught up with Brand earlier today during VMA rehearsals at Radio City Music Hall, he made no apologies for not being able to tell me if he was Team Edward or Team Jacob...

"I don't know what those words mean," the British bad boy explained. "I am afraid I am not the demographic. I wish them both well, but I don't think I am their type of audience."

That doesn't mean Twilight won't get plenty of attention. "You just look at the landscape and see what's prevalent," Brand said. "It's pretty obvious what things are going to work and what things people are interested in."

Does that mean he's gunning for the Jonas Brothers again? Brand came under some serious criticism last year when he mocked the JoBros for their purity rings.

"If you'd have asked me last year, 'Is the script controversial?' I would've said no," Brand said. "So perhaps I am not the best barometer of what constitutes as controversial."

Meanwhile, the seating plan was coming along nicely this afternoon. Except there was no marker for Pattinson. I'm told producers haven't been told yet whether he will be sitting in the audience during the show.

Lautner and Stewart are definitely there. They're a seat apart from each other in the fifth row, as is Ashley Greene.

As our pals over at The Awful Truth stress, Robsten PDA at the VMAs is unlikely. However, we do suspect Pattinson will be slipping into one of those empty seats next to Stewart.

Something odd just happened, but definitely not something Aud. Sources tell me that Audrina Patridge has canceled her trip to New York and will no longer be presenting at the VMAs.

I'm told MTV wanted her and Kristin Cavallari to present together, but both said no thanks.

It's been a busy week for Audrina, and the cancellation may be related to her recent alleged stalker problems.

While there were some whispers that Kristin would now present with the cast of Audrina's new horror movie Sorority Row, I've been assured that is not happening.

Audrina's rep hasn't replied to a request for comment, but stay tuned for more details.

In happier reality news, there's a new promo for The Hills that features a solo Kristin and her new tagline writ large: "The Bitch Is Back."

Vanessa Hudgens NUDE shots again?

06 August 2009 |

Didn't Vanessa Hudgens learn her lesson about taking naked photos of herself with a camera phone?

With another batch of racy pics of the 20-year-old High School Musical star hitting the web today, Ms. Hudgens finds herself facing Nudie Controversy 2.0

While her camp is staying mum, sources confirm to me that it's definitely Hudgens in the pics.

Michael Jackson Back on Chart Hits

15 July 2009 |

Michael Jackson is still King, but Maxwell and Hannah Montana make for a nice royal court.

Despite big bows from the Brooklyn crooner and the Disney queen, the late King of Pop had the top-selling album in the country for the third straight week, as Number Ones moved another 349,000 copies, per Nielsen SoundScan, making for a 1.1 million-copy tally for all his titles. This is Jackson's best week so far, both for an individual title and collectively, thanks largely to last week's memorial service coverage and retailers finally getting completely stocked up.

The music legend, who also had the week's third best-seller in Thriller (264,000 copies), dominated the catalog charts so thoroughly that he set yet another record. This time, Jackson-related titles took up the top 12 spots, a feat never before accomplished. (In previous weeks, he set records by taking 9 of the Top 10 and then the entire Top 10.)

Because they are catalog titles, Jackson's albums are not eligible for the Billboard 200 charts, which gave Maxwell the opportunity to score his second career chart-topper with BLACKsummers'night. The R&B crooner, who previously hit No. 1 eight years ago with Now, sold 316,000 copies of his new disc.

The Hannah Montana 3 soundtrack followed at No. 2, selling 137,00 copies. While prior Hannah Montana discs seemed to top the charts like Groundhog Day, both of her 2009 soundtracks placed in the runner-up spot. Hannah Montana: The Movie did so earlier this year with a similar tally of 139,000 discs.

In other chart action, rockers All Time Low scored an all-time career high at No. 4, shifting 63,000 copies of Nothing Personal.

Thanks to Jackson's sales spike and big releases from Maxwell and Hannah Montana, overall album sales were up 5 percent over last week and nearly equal to the same week last year.

The government thought it was mainly hospital employees it had to worry about when it came to propofol abuse.

Then authorities unearthed Michael Jackson's pharmaceutical treasure trove, which included the potent anesthetic.

The Drug Enforcement Administration is considering including propofol (brand name Diprivan) on the federal list of controlled substances, an idea that has been rolling around for at least two years, but not fast-tracked because civilian abuse of the stuff is so uncommon.

But Diprivan is becoming a household name now that it's been linked to Jackson.

Several bottles of Diprivan, which has to be administered via an IV and pretty much leaves the user in a comatose state, were confiscated from Jackson's Holmby Hills residence.

Source have confirmed to E! News that needle marks were discovered on Jackson's body during his autopsy. Authorities, including the LAPD, DEA and state attorney general's office, are currently investigating how, why, and when the King of Pop obtained the various drugs found in his residence.

The federal controlled substances list comprises five categories, which encompass everything from the hard stuff, like heroin, to the painkiller OxyContin, to codeine, which is used in some cough medicines. Hospitals are supposed to keep track of every bit (of the legal drugs, presumably) that they purchase, prescribe and dispense.

Meanwhile, the Food and Drug Administration had Diprivan maker Teva Pharmaceutical recall roughly 60,000 units of the drug following an increase in complaints about nasty side-effects.

"There have been adverse events in three states: Florida, Arizona and Missouri," FDA spokeswoman Karen Riley told E! News. "These include fevers and chills." There were no reports of fatalities, or life-threatening conditions.

The bum batches showed signs of a bacteria-produced endotoxin, she said.

We've been told that there's no connection between the recalled lots and the Diprivan found in Jackson's home, and Riley said that the FDA has no broader concerns about its safety, "if used as indicated in the proper facilities."

Denise Bradley, senior director of corporate communications for Teva Pharmaceutical confirmed to E! News that the DEA contacted the company with regard to the origins of the Diprivan found in Jackson's possession.

"The batch that the DEA contacted us about relating to their investigation is not associated with the lot numbers that are being recalled," Bradley said.

Gay Dilema Rage on for Brüno

13 July 2009 |

Sacha Baron Cohen's Brüno may have been No. 1 at the box office this weekend, but it's not at the top of some gay activists' must-see movie lists.

In fact, GLAAD issued a statement from its incoming president, Jarrett Barrios, on Friday, the day of the movie's release, expressing disappointment in Cohen's use of too many gay stereotypes...

"This is about the gay kid in Nebraska who gets pushed around in school and when he goes back to school this September, he's going to be called 'Brüno,' " Barrios explained to me this morning.

GLAAD had hoped its many discussions with the film's studio, Universal Pictures, would convince Cohen & Co. to tone down some of the more offensive scenes in the movie. However, Universal has continually maintained that Bruno's intent is to challenge homophobia.

"We are concerned," Barrios said, "that too often in its attempt to expose homophobia, it ends up opening up gay folks to new discrimination and violence."

Meanwhile, Brüno appears on the August cover of gay magazine Out.

An accompanying Q&A with the flamboyant Austrian fashion journalist (Cohen always does press in character) addresses such topics as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Michelle Obama and Sex and the City.

"Yes, he is puerile, offensive, and utterly inappropriate, but so what?" the magazine's editor in chief, Aaron Hicklin, writes in his Editor's Letter. "The same has been said of Lenny Bruce, Richard Pryor, Joan Rivers, and Sarah Silverman, comic geniuses all, whose humor rests on having the balls to say 'boo' to the ghost in the room. The ghost in this case is homophobia, although whether it's being lampooned or perpetuated is part of the tension that makes the movie work."

We may not have the results of the toxicology report yet, but one thing from Michael Jackson's autopsy is certain.

Not only were needle marks found on the star, but they were located on his neck and arms, a source tells E! News. Investigators are hard at work trying to determine whether the marks were from IV needles used to administer the powerful sedative Diprivan.

Sister La Toya Jackson takes this news a step further, allegedly telling a British tab, "He had many needle marks on his neck and on his arms, and more about those will emerge in the next few weeks. But nothing has changed my mind that this was murder."

Given the media circus around M.J.'s death, it's surprising La Toya took three weeks to chime in. According to comments attributed to her in the News of the World article, she's taken one of the theories we've all heard—that people around the star didn't have his best interests at heart—and bumped it up to the conspiracy level. In the article, she continues to suggest her brother's death was an organized group murder and robbery.

Meanwhile, Dr. Conrad Murray, the cardiologist with Jackson at the time of his death, continues to maintain his innocence and his camp has taken issue with La Toya saying Murray didn't identify himself to the family at the hospital the day Jackson died.

"That's kind of odd," attorney spokeswoman Miranda Sevcik, told E! News Monday. "He didn't disappear. He talked to La Toya and Jermaine, helped them break the news to the children.

"She may have thought he disappeared at that point, but he was talking to investigators. He spoke with investigators directly after Michael was pronounced dead, so maybe that's why she couldn't find him."

When E! News spoke with Sevcik, on Friday, she said that stories of police requesting additional documents from Murray were false.

"That's absolutely not true," she told E! News. "We gave everything that the investigators asked for on June 27th when we had that last long interview."

Although Murray issued a statement a week ago saying he never provided Jackson with any life-threatening drugs, Sevcik could not comment on Murray's knowledge of anyone else providing Jackson with medication, nor was she willing to comment on any specific medications.

"Our agreement was to not share any more details of the investigation, so we can't speak to the Diprivan," she said. "This was not our decision. This is what was requested of us by Los Angeles investigators. They thought if we talked about it, it would slow them down."

Michael Jackson Died at 50

25 June 2009 |

Music icon Michael Jackson, whose fame spanned from his childhood with the legendary Jackson 5 to a superstar solo career that earned him the nickname 'King of Pop,' died Thursday afternoon at a Los Angeles hospital, a source close to the family told FOX News. He was 50.

Debra Opri, a former Jackson family attorney, confirmed the singers death after other media reported that he had fallen into a coma. He reportedly was taken by ambulance at 12:30 p.m. local time to UCLA Medical Center, where he died at 3:15 p.m.

Multiple reports said he had gone into cardiac arrest, though the official cause of death wasn't immediately known. A news conference is expected later Thursday at the hospital, where fans have gathered to pay tribute to the singer.

Jackson's death brought a tragic end to a long, bizarre, sometimes farcical decline from his peak in the 1980s, when he was popular music's premier all-around performer, a uniter of black and white music who shattered the race barrier on MTV, dominated the charts and dazzled even more on stage.

Jackson was born in Indiana in 1958. He rose to fame as part of the successful pop group The Jackson 5, formed with his brothers in 1967. The group went on to earn four number one hits in 1970 alone, and the 12-year-old Jackson became the undeniable breakout star of the group.

In 1972, Jackson enjoyed his first solo hit with the song “Ben.” Six years later, he made his film debut in “The Wiz,” in which he renewed his friendship with producer Quincy Jones.

Collaborating with Jones, Jackson went on to become remarkably successful with his solo efforts “Off The Wall” in 1979 and “Thriller” in 1982.

From there, Jackson went on to become the undeniable “King of Pop,” winning eight Grammy awards for “Thriller” alone.

During the 1980s, he became an icon with a distinct style of fashion and performing, as well, wearing one sparkling glove, bejeweled military clothing and short pants with socks.

It was around this time that Jackson began experimenting with excessive cosmetic surgery, including lightening of his skin.

In 1992, Jackson founded the "Heal the World Foundation," a charity that brought underprivileged children to his Neverland Ranch, where Jackson would spend time with them and allow them to stay the night.

This practice raised many eyebrows, especially when Jackson was accused of molesting a 13-year-old boy who had become a regular Neverland guest. Jackson maintained his innocence. In 1994, he settled the case out of court for an undisclosed amount.

Jackson briefly was married to Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of Elvis. The union drew intense public scrutiny, there was speculation as to whether the marriage was simply an attempt to improve Jackson’s image, though he maintained that they lived genuinely as husband and wife; however, the marriage broke up after less than two years.

From there, his career never quite recovered, but he remained in the news, making headline after headline for strange and unusual behavior, including dangling his child over a balcony in Germany in 2002.

In 2004, police raided the Neverland Ranch, issuing an arrest warrant for charges of child molestation based on allegations of a boy who had appeared in Martin Bashir's infamous documentary about Jackson. Later that year, a man filed a lawsuit against him, alleging he had been molested 20 years earlier, explaining that he had repressed the memory until 2003. However, a judge eventually dismissed the lawsuit.

In 2005, he was cleared of charges he molested the 13-year-old cancer survivor at Neverland in 2003. He had been accused of playing the boy with alcohol and groping him. The case took a fearsome toll on his career and image, and he fell into serious financial trouble.

Jackson was preparing for what was to be his greatest comeback: He was scheduled for an unprecedented 50 shows at a London arena, with the first set for July 13. He was in rehearsals in Los Angeles for the concert, an extravaganza that was to capture the classic Jackson magic: showstopping dance moves, elaborate staging and throbbing dance beats.

Hundreds of people gathered outside the hospital as word of his death spread. The emergency entrance at the UCLA Medical Center, which is near Jackson's rented home, was roped off with police tape.

In New York's Times Square, a low groan went up in the crowd when a screen flashed that Jackson had died, and people began relaying the news to friends by cell phone.

"No joke. King of Pop is no more. Wow," Michael Harris, 36, of New York City, read from a text message a friend sent to his telephone. "It's like when Kennedy was assassinated. I will always remember being in Times Square when Michael Jackson died."

The Tim Burton 3-D flick doesn't come out till spring 2010, but film fans now have their first look at Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Anne Hathaway as the White Queen and Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen from the upcoming "Alice in Wonderland." The lead role of Alice will be played by 19-year-old unknown Mia Wasikowska from Australia.

Let’s take a look at another FTW moment of celebrity blogger Perez Hilton gets punched from behind by alleged Black Eyed Peas’ manager Polo Molina.
A photo of Perez Hilton getting punched surfaced on the internet but it doesn’t clearly show who really punched him. If you’ve seen the Perez Hilton assaulted video wherein Perez was very furious about what happened to him the past few days with the Black Eyed Peas group, you’d probably think that this guy is already over reacting. But legally he still filed a case against Polo Molina, the Black Eyed Peas manager who was arrested for assaulting Perez after the MuchMusic Awards in Toronto. Perez, in an interview, said that he does not believe in violence but he’s a victim of intentional infliction of emotional distress. Duh! It’s just a matter of time before someone hits him again in the face.
Check out the must see hilarious photo of Perez Hilton getting punched after the jump. Ouch that should hurt!

Paula Abdul accidentally made a cameo as herself in Sacha Baron Cohen's new comedy, "Bruno." And in a new interview with SIRIUS XM's "The Morning After With Angela Yee!," the "American Idol" judge revealed she found out about her involvement in the film quite some time after it was first filmed.

"A little over three weeks ago, my management sent over to me – 'US Weekly and People magazine and USA Today want to know about how it felt being pranked by Sacha Baron Cohen, AKA Bruno?' I went, 'I've never worked with Sacha Baron Cohen,'… So, they responded 'Paula's never worked with Sacha Baron Cohen,'" she told the morning show.

But after responding to the mags, Paula realized she made a mistake.

"Later on that night, I woke up… in a pool of sweat at two o'clock in the morning, going 'Ahhh!'" she recounted. "I ran to the Internet and I remembered, 'Oh my god, a year ago, they got me.' I had no idea it was Sacha Baron Cohen."

In the comedian's new movie, "Bruno," Paula was fooled into doing an interview with the fictional gay Austrian fashion journalist. And Paula explained how she was coaxed over for the shoot.

"I was told I got the Austrian/German 'Entertainer of the Year Award.' I thought 'Wow! That's pretty fantastic,'" she explained.

Paula said she went over to the furniture-less house where she was met by a "weird, tall, skinny, creepy looking dude" who was "dressed like Captain Nemo."

While there, he asked her to put on a suit and run and jump on a Velcro wall, which she declined to do. She did, however, crouch on some human furniture.

"He goes, 'Immigrants! Immigrants' and… these two Mexican gardeners come into the house," Paula recounted. "He tells them to drop on all fours and for me to sit down on them. I said, 'I'm not gonna do that!' and he goes, 'Just sit!' I was literally holding my own weight."

Paula eventually stood up to Bruno and got herself out of there. And unlike some who have filed lawsuits against the British comedian, Paula bares no ill will.

"I think it's hysterical," she said.

Hannah Montana Staying, JONAS Moving

01 June 2009 |

Miley Cyrus isn't done with Hannah Montana. The Jonas Brothers, however, are momentarily done with Saturday night.

Disney Channel announced today that Hannah Montana—and the red-hot Cyrus—will be back for a fourth season.

JONAS, meanwhile, the tween-idol band's fledgling Disney Channel sitcom, is on the move from its original night and time to Sunday, where, presumably, iCarly can't hurt it anymore.

The move to pick up Hannah Montana, record-holder of cable TV's biggest audience for a single series telecast, was a gimme—no matter the wig-doffing business in this spring's hit big-screen version, or Cyrus telling E! Online's Marc Malkin last year that "we're thinking this [third season] is our last season."

Shortly after the Cyrus quote was published, Disney Channel made sure to note to Malkin that it held the option on a fourth Hannah season.

No mere draftee, the 16-year-old Cyrus appears to helping call the shots. Disney Channel said the show's fourth season, at the behest of Cyrus and producers, will find Cyrus' TV family "saying goodbye to their beachfront Malibu home."

There was no word on the future of the wig.

Production on the new season is scheduled to begin early next year. As Miley and father/costar Billy Ray Cyrus both Twittered today, shooting on the third season wraps this Friday.

"i am gonna miss everyone so much," Miley Cyrus wrote in a no-time-for-punctuation post. "but im super stoked about 'the last song.' "

The Last Song is the big-screen drama Cyrus will shoot this summer during her Hannah hiatus.

In related news, the Disney Channel said today it was renewing its freshman Demi Lovato sitcom, Sonny With a Chance, for a second season.

Responding to an inquiry regarding the status of JONAS, which hadn't aired a new episode in two weeks (after premiering only a month ago), the network said the show was getting a new home as part of a routine summer overhaul.

The Monkees-aspiring JONAS debuted May 2 before a solid 4 million viewers, only to get hammered by an iCarly special the following week.

Starting this weekend, the Jonases' show, which formerly led off Saturdays, will be placed behind Sonny With a Chance, which itself will air after Hannah Montana, on Sundays.

According to Disney, JONAS was May's top-rated TV show among children 6-11, who, unfortunately for the sibling stars, aren't old enough to work for the New York Times—and lobby against articles that ask if their act is "fizzling."

Britney Fan Busted for Making a Move Onstage

03 May 2009 |

When your tour is called Circus, anything can happen.

An overzealous fan stormed the stage at Britney Spears' concert last night at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut and attempted to dance with the 27-year-old pop star.

Britney was performing her hit "Womanizer" as an encore when 20-year-old Kyle King from Orlando, Fla., snuck past security barriers and got thisclose to her.

Backup dancers and security were able to pull him away before he made contact, but Brit-Brit was visibly shaken.

A detective with the Connecticut State Police confirms that King was arrested for breach of peace and release on $250 cash bond. He is expected at Norwich Superior Court on June 18.

After getting the boot on The Celebrity Apprentice, it looks like Dennis Rodman's next venture will be a familiar one: rehab.

The former NBA star, who has battled addiction for years, has agreed to enter an outpatient program where he'll regularly see a counselor.

While it is a step in the right direction, last week family and friends of Rodman, including his former Los Angeles Lakers coach, Phil Jackson, unsuccessfully reached out to the star, who refused to admit himself to an inpatient facility.

"Yes, they tried an intervention, but unfortunately Dennis refused to go," Rodman's rep tells E! News. "We all know how amazing he is when sober and we hope he gets there soon."

One reason for his refusal to go into treatment? Rodman's desire to attend The Celebrity Apprentice reunion show. Says his rep, "He will be in New York City for the show's finale next Sunday."

Mel Gibson, Girlfriend Make First Public Appearance!

More than two weeks after his wife filed for divorce, Mel Gibson and girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva made their first public appearance at the X-Men Origins: Wolverine screening in L.A. Tuesday.

Holding hands, the 53-year-old actor -- in a black suit with a dark gray shirt -- and Grigorieva, 38, did not stop to pose for photographers, instead rushing inside Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

Heidi and Spencer Pig Out on Swine Flu

How can Speidi be so the worst and so the best at the same time? Their Hills storyline is insufferable, the wedding was a joke and the music they create is atrocious, but look at them. Honeymooning in Mexico during a potential pandemic? Of course they're going to pose for pictures wearing swine-flu face masks. Because that's how much they care about entertaining us.

Talk about hell's kitchen!

Sounds like things got a little heated the other day over at Peter Facinelli and Jennie Garth's house—and I'm to blame!

I recently posted some jokey comments Garth made to me during an interview about being "pissed off" that hubby Peter doesn't cook for her like he apparently does for his Twilight costars.

Mr. Facinelli cooked up a response to yours truly.

"Lets not try to make a 'meal' out of this," he wrote in an email. "My wife was joking. The reason I stopped cooking so much is because she's better at it. And most nights I take her out to eat anyway. She's not 'pissed off.' So lets not try to stir up some controversy where it doesn't exist."

I quickly offered to buy Facinelli and Garth dinner, but I never heard back from them...until yesterday.

My intrepid reporter Dahvi Shira caught up with Facinelli at last night's LG Rumorous Night party.

"Tell Marc I'm going to kick his ass," he said. "Tell him if I see him, I'm going to kick his ass."

Not to worry, Mr. Facinelli was joking.

With that out of the way, Dahvi then grilled him for New Moon scoop. He said the cast hangs out together all the time.

What kind of things do they like to do?

"Dinner at my house," Facinelli laughed. "Marc Malkin knows all about it."

Megan Fox Gets Corseted

Megan Fox was spotted on the set of Jonah Hex in a crazy corset. We're still trying to figure out how that waistline is even possible for someone made of bones.

Oh, snap! Real Housewives of New York City's Jill Zarin thinks fellow castmate Kelly Killoren Bensimon should turn on her Louboutins and take a hike!

"I don’t think it’s working for her," Zarin told us earlier today from her New York apartment. "I don’t think she should be on the show. It's not that I think we should throw anybody off, it's just that I think if I were her, I would not do the show again. I would go back to anonymity and spend the next year trying to repair my reputation. What’s more important to her: her reputation or fame?"

Clearly, Bensimon's back-and-forth bickering with costar—and Zarin BFF—Bethenny Frankel has not helped her image. And according to Zarin, it doesn't sound like the two will come to any friendly agreement anytime soon...

"They’re not friends," Zarin said. "They never were. They never will be. They’re sophisticated girls, so they’ll be polite to each other when they see each other at Bravo events. They’re not going to pull each others' hair out, but there's definitely ice cubes in the room."

Bensimon's rep didn't comment on her future on the show but did say, "Jill is entitled to her opinion. Kelly had a wonderful time on the show."

The gals recently taped their upcoming reunion show for Bravo. The get-together got so heated and full of drama that producers decided to expand it from an hourlong special to a two-hour event over two nights. "There were a lot of liars at the table," Zarin said. "Ramona—liar! Kelly—liar! LuAnn—baby liar."

Zarin has also been busy as a spokesmom for Kodak's new Mother's Day campaign that encourages people to stay close through photography. In fact, Zarin's Mother's Day has turned into a Housewives affair. "Bethenny’s always invited to be with my family on holidays—especially Mother’s Day," Zarin said. "She does have a mother, but she doesn’t spend time with her. She hasn’t seen her for many years. It’s sort of a sore issue that I don’t discuss with her. My mother has sort of openly adopted Bethenny."

Casey Aldridge, Jamie Lynn Spears' boyfriend and baby daddy, is in stable condition after a terrible car crash early Sunday morning.

The 19-year-old Aldridge was driving in his Ford F-150 truck around 1:30 a.m. when he apparently lost control. He and two male friends were returning home from a fishing trip.

According to reports, Aldridge cracked his skull. One pal suffered a broken collarbone.

Sheriff officials in Tensas Parish, La., said that a single-car crash occurred in their area, however, they would not provide any further information. Meanwhile, a representative at Riverland Medical Facility in Ferriday, La., confirmed that Aldridge was treated earlier at their facility, but that "he is not here now."

Spears, 18, has been spotted at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, where Aldridge has presumably been transferred.

The couple, who are engaged to be married but haven't set a date, have a 10-month-old daughter, Maddie.

Showbiz Gossip Information GatewayDespite her big-screen penchant for revealing all, Sharon Stone apparently still feels the need to keep some things on the down-low. Her court records, for example.

A lawsuit filed against the actress was made public today after the court was unable to justify the national security-like levels of secrecy employed to hide the case's very existence.

The suit brought in November by attorney William P. Jacobson over $107,000 in disputed fees was eventually settled, but not before Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Maureen Duffy-Lewis ordered the whole shebang sealed. That meant no record of the case was made available to either the public or court staff.

The Stone affair would likely have entered the court archive undetected, were it not for a reported for the Los Angeles-based City News Service, who stumbled upon the Stone case while covering an unrelated court proceeding. Soon after, other media outlets clamored for full disclosure.

As a result of the demands, Duffy-Lewis released two documents to the public—one, the order to seal the case's documents, and the other a mailing label bearing the note "conditionally under seal"—which only further fueled calls for the complete unsealing.

Stone has yet to comment on the unsealing.

Rihanna Wants Chris-Brown-Night Baubles Back

25 April 2009 |

Showbiz Gossip Information Gateway Rihanna is looking to put the sparkle back in her life.

The 21-year-old singer filed a motion Tuesday requesting that Los Angeles authorities return the jewelry she wore to Clive Davis' Pre-Grammy Gala Feb. 7—and was still wearing when she fought with Chris Brown after the event.

The baubles—a loaner pair of earrings and three rings said to be worth $1.4 million—were taken into evidence, along with the bloodstained Gucci gown Rihanna partied in that night, after Brown was arrested for allegedly hitting, biting and choking her.

Four different companies loaned Rihanna the jewels and now want the goods back, according to the motion.

Rihanna attorney Donald Fenty states that Brown's attorney and the LAPD detective overseeing the case have not objected to giving the jewels back and have said that pictures of the items will be acceptable for prosecutors to use at trial—should Brown, who's facing charges of assault and making criminal threats, end up going to trial.

Both Rihanna and Brown's camps have expressed hope that a plea agreement will be reached before the case ends up in front of a judge.

Brown has pleaded not guilty on all counts. The next hearing is set for April 29.

They give her room. They wait down the street, not right outside the house. They say "hello" and "how do ya do" and she says "hello" right back. Working out for her, donchathink?

Pharrell Williams hates his tattoos so much he's undergoing laser treatment to have them burned off his body -- as you can see by this bandaged up pic he posted on his blog yesterday.

A while back, the N.E.R.D. king said he wanted to have skin grafts to get rid of his ink -- but he obviously changed his mind. Here's what he wrote under the photo:

"Laser treatment bitches! Extra crispy. See, no skin graft here, just pure laser pain. This is our own version of Mythbusters! Laser is the new primer."

Contrary to what you probably think, Lindsay Lohan did not get into acting to make headlines and acquire a paparazzi entourage.

"I didn't get into this business to be a celebrity on the cover of tabloids, and I've been a target—and I'm not that interesting," the 22-year-old actress insisted during an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show airing tomorrow.

"It distracts people—studio heads, everyone, and they get nervous. I've been through a lot. I was 19 years old when things happened, and I'm ready to work. I'm responsible and I can be on time and I learn from my mistakes."

Insisting that "everything fell into place" recently, Lohan says she's ready to refocus on her career, now that she's single again following a breakup that apparently took her completely by surprise.

"I had no idea what was going on," Lohan recalled of the days leading up to her admission to E! News that she and girlfriend Samantha Ronson were taking a break. "I just hadn't seen her in like a week. She, like, disappeared."

But the split was not due to her roving eye or anything like that, Lohan said, as she began disproving her own comment about not being interesting.

"I don't believe in cheating on someone," said the star of the upcoming comedy Labor Pains.

Lohan and DeGeneres also commiserated about having to deal with breakups under the glare of the public eye.

"I kind of lost my career for a little while and I went away," DeGeneres said, presumably referring to parting ways with Anne Heche in 2000. "I went to Ojai, California. I stayed away for three years, and I literally hibernated and got myself back together. Do you feel like you want to run away?" she asked Lohan.

To which the actress replied, not really.

"I feel like I want to get my career back in shape," Lohan said. "There are some shows I'm producing that I'm really excited about. I'm doing a movie in October. So it's been nice to just kind of...You know when people are together so much it gets really difficult, and you forget who you are because you're more concerned about being with the other person.

"I think [the breakup has] been really good for me. I thought it would be so much harder and it hasn't been...I’ve had great people surrounding me and I’ve just been working every single day."

The Miley Cyrus vs. Chris Brown Showdown

22 April 2009 |

The second Saturday morning of 2010. That's when that weekend's first-day box-office grosses should be in, and when we should have answers to a couple of intriguing questions.

One, can Miley Cyrus open a movie without Hannah Montana?

And, two, can a Hollywood movie open with Chris Brown's baggage?

Disney has pegged Cyrus' The Last Song for a Jan. 8, 2010, opening, opposite the Brown-featuring Takers, the box-office tracking firm Exhibitor Relations noted on its site today.

The films aren't expected to compete for the same business. They are expected, however, to make things interesting.

Written by novelist Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook), The Last Song is a father-daughter drama—or, considering Cyrus is the star, a daughter-father drama. The rest of the cast has yet to be announced. Shooting is scheduled for the summer.

"This is definitely a departure from Hannah Montana," Exhibitor Relations' Jeff Bock said in an email, "one that will allow the industry to gauge Miley's fanbase, and allow her to evolve as an actress."

Takers is an in-the-can ensemble cops-and-robbers movie (formerly titled Bone Deep) with Paul Walker, Matt Dillon, Hayden Christensen, T.I. and Brown. Following Brown's arrest for his alleged assault of Rihanna, there was a report the film's studio intended to "erase" the entertainer from its promo campaign. T.I., who's also an executive producer, denied a Brown-out plan was in the works.

T.I., of course, has his own issues. The rapper has been sentenced to a year and a day in prison on a weapons charge. It's unknown if he'll be available, as it were, for the premiere.

Brown's troubles came as the 19-year-old, once wholesome enough for the "Got Milk?" campaign, was picking up more film work. At 16, Cyrus already has two No. 1 movies on her resume: ast year's Hannah Montana concert movie, and, yes, the still-running Hannah Montana comedy.

Brown and Cyrus were both supposed to perform at this past year's Grammys. In the end, only Cyrus sang. Brown ended up being otherwise engaged.

Now, the teen idols' summit will be staged at the box office.

Showbiz Gossip Information Gateway Beyonce's dad is on the warpath against the people attacking his daughter for the supposed "board mix" audio of B singing at "The Today Show" -- claiming all doubters of her ability are "idiots."

In a fiery statement to TMZ, Mathew Knowles, who's also Bey's manager, says his daughter was set up. It's one of the best statements we've ever gotten.

"If no one took the time to look at the biggest Inauguration in the history of America then shame on them.

If no one took the time to listen to Beyonce sing 'America the Beautiful' and 'At Last' at the Neighborhood Ball for the first dance of President Obama and the First Lady, and they question Beyonce's vocal ability, they've gotta be an idiot.

At 12 years into her career, the last thing someone should be questioning is her vocal ability.

That would be like questioning if Kobe Bryant could shoot a jump shot. The vocals were obviously altered."

Cops in India claim they have no evidence that the father of 9-year-old Rubina Ali -- one of the child stars from "Slumdog Millionaire" -- was trying to sell his daughter.

Rafiq Qureshi was accused of trying to sell Rubina for roughly $290,000 by a British newspaper that had set up an undercover operation to try and buy the young girl.

A senior police officer in India told Reuters, "So far there is no evidence of any offence, hence there is no registration of complaint and no arrest."

It seems Ashley Tisdale has decided to play it fast this time and take some help from the paps to publicize her new love affair (with music video director Scott Speer). Though Hollywood TV is claiming that the paps caught Ashley kissing the guy, I’m having a feeling that the whole episode was staged. By the way, what was Scott trying to do by sitting like a lame duck instead of driving away?! Is it just me or was he actually buying time for the paps to click Ashley face front? Anyway, Scott has proved that he can steer really well! I hope you got the message, Jared.

Showbiz Gossip Information GatewayKRISTEN BELL's mother beamed with pride when the star appeared on the New York stage - but was horrified to see her dressed up as a dominatrix.
The Forgetting Sarah Marshall star appeared in the sexy role in the 2001 off-Broadway production of Reefer Madness, and her dedicated mother Lori attended as many shows as she could.
But Lori often found herself excusing her daughter's daring costume to those sat around her.
Bell says, "I had to dress up in a dominatrix outfit and my mother is still in denial about it. When my mum came to see it, she'd spend her whole time whispering to the people next to her, 'That's my daughter up there, but she's not really like that'.
"I was in some latexy jumpsuit and high-heeled boots and, to be quite frank, when you're up on stage under those bright lights the suit doesn't smell too great by the end of the evening.
"Added to that, I couldn't handle the whip at all and kept hitting people nearby, so I was a legitimately scary dominatrix. Believe me, there's nothing sexy about a clumsy girl wielding a whip."

Lindsay Lohan needs to choose her friends ... and her clubs more carefully, cause she just got thrown under the rehab bus.

Lindsay spent what she thought would be a private evening this weekend at Prive nightclub at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Vegas --until the club fired off a gratuitous press release, allegedly exposing her relapse.

In the release, the club buried this item -- "Mel [B] was drinking Merlot and Lindsay asked for a Vodka drink mixed with soda water and a splash of cranberry."

It squarely contradicts Lindsay's outburst last week, when she said "I don't drink...a**hole."

With friends -- and clubs -- like this ...

Stephen Hawking Hospitalized

20 April 2009 |

LONDON – Stephen Hawking, the British mathematician and physicist famed for his work on black holes, was rushed to a hospital Monday and was seriously ill, Cambridge University said. Hawking has been fighting a chest infection for several weeks and was being treated at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, the university city northeast of London, the university said.

"Professor Hawking is very ill," said Gregory Hayman, the university's head of communications. "He is undergoing tests. He has been unwell for a couple of weeks."

Later in the afternoon, Hayman said Hawking was "now comfortable but will be kept in hospital overnight."

The illness had caused Hawking to cancel an appearance at Arizona State University on April 6.

Hawking, 67, gained renown for his work on black holes, and has remained active despite being diagnosed at 21 with ALS, (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), an incurable degenerative disorder also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.

For some years, Hawking has been almost entirely paralyzed, and he communicates through an electronic voice synthesizer activated by his fingers.

Hawking was involved in the search for the great goal of physics — a "unified theory" — which would resolve contradictions between Albert Einstein's General Theory of Relativity, which describes the laws of gravity that govern the motion of large objects like planets, and the Theory of Quantum Mechanics, which deals with the world of subatomic particles.

"A complete, consistent unified theory is only the first step: our goal is a complete understanding of the events around us, and of our own existence," he wrote in his best-selling book, "A Brief History of Time," published in 1988.

In a more accessible sequel "The Universe in a Nutshell," published in 2001, Hawking ventured into concepts like supergravity, naked singularities and the possibility of a universe with 11 dimensions.

He announced last year that he would step down from his post as Lucasian Professor of Mathematics, a title once held by the great 18th-century physicist Isaac Newton. However, the university said Hawking intended to continue working as Emeritus Lucasian Professor of Mathematics.

"Professor Hawking is a remarkable colleague. We all hope he will be amongst us again soon," said Peter Haynes, head of the university's Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics.

Brian Dickie, director of research at the Motor Neurone Disease Association, said only 5 percent of people diagnosed with ALS survive for 10 years or longer.

daylight-dreaming.blogspot.comIndian police in Mumbai are probing accusations that the father of a child star of the Oscar-winning film "Slumdog Millionaire" tried to sell his daughter for 200,000 pounds ($290,000).

The mother of 9-year-old Rubina Ali protested after a sting operation by a British tabloid alleged her father tried to sell her.

Police called Rubina Ali and her father, Rafiq Qureshi, to a police station on Sunday night and recorded their statements.

"On Sunday, Rubina's mother Khurshid complained to us that her ex-husband was trying to sell her daughter, saying she saw some reports on television to that effect," Deputy Commissioner of Police Nisar Tamboli told Reuters.

The film, a rags-to-riches romance about a slum boy competing on a TV game show, won eight Academy Awards earlier this year but sparked controversy in parts of India.

The sting operation by the News of the World quickly made headlines in India.

Rubina, who starred as the youngest incarnation of the film's heroine, Latika, lives with her father and step-mother in a teeming slum in the suburbs of the financial hub.

Rubina's family denied they were willing to sell her.

"We never thought that we would have to face this. We are poor people, for us, our children are everything. Why would we give her away like that?" Rubina's uncle Moinuddin Qureshi said.

"This is just an attempt to malign her name. After all she has become world famous now, hasn't she?" Qureshi added.

The film's makers set up a fund for the education of Rubina Ali and her young co-star, Azharuddin Ismail. Authorities in Mumbai also said the state would give housing for the children.

The title raised an outcry and sparked protests in parts of India, because "Slumdog" was seen as derogatory to India's millions of slum dwellers.

Rafiq Qureshi has flatly denied that he attempted to sell his Oscar-caliber daughter, saying he was the victim of a "dirty" undercover operation by a U.K. tabloid and that the media had used his family's economic status as a punchline and "made fun of our poverty."

"They tricked us into this fakery, but we came out unscathed," he told the BBC, adding that they trapped him in a situation of "great temptation" which he managed to resist.

Qureshi said that he received a phone call from people claiming to be a wealthy Arab couple who wanted to help his daugher, Slumdog Millionaire star Rubina Ali. After several meetings, Qureshi became aware that "they were making a deal on my child."

He refused, but returned home to find reports of his dealmaking on TV.

"They played dirty with us, but we didn't accept any money from them. My daughter is not for sale."

In an attempt to escape the real-life slums of Mumbai, the father of Slumdog Millionaire sweetie Rubina Ali reportedly tried to illegally sell his 9-year-old daughter for roughly $300,000.

Mumbai police brought both the girl and her father, Rafiq Qureshi, in for questioning Sunday night after Qureshi unknowingly spoke to the British tabloid News of the World and offered several shocking allegations as to why cashing in on his daughter's fame was perfectly acceptable.

"On Sunday, Rubina's mother Khurshid complained to us that her ex-husband was trying to sell her daughter, saying she saw some reports on television to that effect," Deputy Commissioner of Police Nisar Tamboli told Reuters.

Police called Ali, who stars as Slumdog's youngest Latika, and her father, with whom she lives, to the station last night and recorded statements from each.

"We've got nothing out of [Slumdog Millionaire]," Qureshi told the News of the World during the tabloid's sting. "They gave some money at the start, but they gave nothing afterwards. They gave us around 150,000 rupees [$3,000]. I have to consider what's best for me, my family and Rubina's future."

But his allegations run counter to statements from filmmakers and local officials.

The Oscar-winning film's producer, Christian Colson, told Britain's Daily Mail last night that, for their part, the filmmakers are doing everything they can to get to the truth of what happened to Ali.

"We have friends and colleagues in Bombay who are trying to speak with Mr. Qureshi to get to the bottom of what happened," he said. "Her family is under a lot of pressure."

Just days ago, director Danny Boyle & Co. donated $750,000 to a Mumbai children's charity on top of an additional $750,000 for the education and housing of both Ali and Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail, the youngest Salim.

Both Boyle and Colson are planning to visit the young stars next month.

"Danny and I are committed to Rubina and Azharuddin for the long term," he said. "We are trying to keep a roof over their heads, and keep them in school until they are 18. The problem is there are a lot of parties who are telling the parents different things.

"We agreed to buy apartments a couple of months ago, but that process stalled because they decided they wanted the money up front instead. In the past few days we have got things back on track, and are now back looking at apartments."

Meanwhile, Indian authorities also promised to provide homes in Mumbai following the massive success of Slumdog Millionaire at this year's Oscars.

It has yet to comment on the allegations.
