Phil Spector Found Guilty of Murder

13 April 2009 |

Showing up at the courthouse to find out his fate, Phil Spector was found guilty of second-degree murder in the 2003 shooting death of Lana Clarkson.

Earlier today (April 13), Los Angeles jurors announced their verdict, with the 68-year-old Spector now facing the possibility of life in prison when sentencing takes place on May 29.

The guilty verdict reached by jurors follows a previous trial back in September which ended in a deadlock, 10-2, in favor of convicting the man famous for the "Wall of Sound" recording technique.

Meanwhile, Spector's trial, which was held at Los Angeles Superior Court, lasted a total of five months and saw 77 witnesses take the stand.
